"test drive"
Before I purchase a TT I want to hook it up to my truck and take it on a short drive on a freeway to see how it handles, etc. Do you think a dealer would allow me to do this?

The sales guy doesn't care how it pulls. If everyone test towed a trailer off the lot they'd never sale anything. Odds are their service dept. couldn't set it up correctly anyway. Buy a camper that falls under you trucks numbers and you'll be fine.
