Testing Trailer Brakes with Break Away Cable

I couldn`t lock up mine and it was unsafe because the trailer only had about 30% braking capability. I cleaned/replaced all connectors including my 7-way. in the end I ended up replacing all 4 of my brake magnets. they were very weak! now I need to keep the gain dialed back to keep from locking up the brakes. the truck and trailer now stop very good. I can almost just use the trailer brakes to stop both the truck and trailer.

Anyone that tells you the brakes are OK if they cannot stop the truck and trailer just doesn`t want to help you out!
