Hey All
Gonna say it one last time, how many RVers are going to tow 30,000+ pounds? Bottom line if you say the max a dually owner (Let’s say 98% of the RV Owners) - will never tow more than 22,000 lbs AND you limit the speed going up the IKE to 60 mph, all three trucks will get to the top in nearly the same elapsed time frame.
Going downhill would be less brake applications for the Ford and GM and likely the Ram would be zero. I honestly think that for 98% of RV owners we are done being googley eyed over torque and horsepower specs and we all should start really digging in and talk about many other subjects including long term cost to operate, best time in a trucks lifecycle to sell and buy a new truck, defects certain models may still be carrying around etc, etc.
Anyone of these HD trucks will perform admirably. TfL can give out there golden hitch award but frankly they need to dig deeper to have meaningful comparisons. The fastest up the IKE means very little, and zero brake applications can be achieved by all.
I’m a Cummins fanboy, no doubt. I love to drive this truck. But I bet if I had bought a Ford or GM I would be proud of them also.
Peace.
