You know there’s pluses and minuses to everything but one thing I like about Cummins is the support across platforms and this use in other sectors allows Cummins and Ram to offer the 2018 CTD indefinitely to order on 2020 Rams.. So you can get the older Cummins with the new truck apparently indefinitely.
For folks concerned about anything new this is a great option for a very reliable platform but frankly I’m not worried about the new HO motor as Cummins I believe like everything else they do has vetted the new motor. But my dealer who sells to mostly farmers, horse folks, etc caters to his clients who just don’t care about the numbers they just want a truck that has great reliability.
