I was just pointing out the need of steel piston due to design and high heat scenarios under sustained loads while that need may not be there for other engine designs and lower in cylinder temps.

I think we all need to pitch in and get tou an "Ike times matter" t-shirt because you are seriously no different than the "Ram mafia" guys you hate. Just on the different side of the fence.
The Ford engineer stated the steel pistons was installed for improved fuel economy along with other features which they have achieved. I'm stating the steel pistons will provide other benefits as well which are known facts for which other engines use steel pistons for durability and longevity.
I don't hate anyone and enjoy my time here. I would set down and drink a beer with all these great people.
