So getting back on topic.... interesting for sure thus far.. but I’m interested in the Chevy 3.0 Duramax down the road for sure. On the topic of HD trucks I really like the GM series, however i am a fan of the Cummins so my vote would be for the Ram for HD diesel use. That’s coming from a guy who owns a 3/4 ton GMC gas job. Anyway have worked on several engines and the inline series engines just last a long time due to design. If I would keep gas for HD duties down the road.. it would be a hard choice between the gas 6.6 GM or Ford 7.3. Again just my preference.
My parents had a GMC Envoy that had a inline engine that had nothing but problems. Having said that I think the new 3.0 Duramax has some interesting features so we'll have to see how that plays out.
I noticed the Gold Hitch Award excluded gas powered HD trucks this year but if they did I'm sure the 7.3 would have won.
