Was gone from the camper for a couple days and missed all the excitement! Neighbors tell me the campground experienced a large electrical surge. They lost tvs, small appliances, AC units, etc.. I lost...

You call it insurance - I call it peace of mind and just good common sense.....Whiners? Maybe-Maybe not; but definitely ill informed and playing the equivalent of Russian Roulette.....I live in the mountains of western NC where stuff happens....I am continually amazed at the folks, business owners as well as just plain homeowners who are whining on a TV news report about a destroyed home, fire, mudslide or other tragedy and they have no insurance....and they get no sympathy from me, and inevitably there is a "fund" set up to help these poor folks.......phooey; buy insurance instead of a 6 pack....if you choose to roll the dice and they come up snake eyes that's just tuff luck, a blown TV or AC unit would be relatively cheap compared to a complete loss of the RV due to an electrical fire.
