Thank you, TC people!

You are one of the main reasons I recently ordered an 'almost TC', a Tiger TX 4X4. It was clear to me that you guys have more fun than do other RVers. Thanks for inspiring me! I wanted a single unit and would not be taking the camper off the truck, anyway, so I went for the Tiger. See you on the (less traveled) road. :)

  • Thank you, jefe! That means a lot! :) I expect to take delivery in September.

Who else would have you but a hang-loose band of remote, off-grid vagabonds?

  • Good choice. As long as you can make it up the ladder to the bed, can live with less stuff, and you have absolutely no claustrophobia, you are good.
El Tigre de doble tracion has been offered on at least the big three U.S. truck mfgrs. chassis, maybe with some non-domestic chassis' too. The rig is a real sleeper (nonus punus) of a camping rig as it packs so much into so little space and with 'real' hardcore components, and just doesn't 'look like' it will thump those nasty trails. Every version i have seen, seems to be custom made for that exact C&C.
Yesterday, I saw a Dodge 3500 (maybe 4500?), DRW, 4WD cab and chassis class C rolling down our local highway. It looked to be about 24 feet long with a very sleek, anti-wind-break blending of the cab and camper with a lot of visible space for living and storage. If i had no use for a pickup, I would go for something like the Tigre or that mysterious Class C/Dodge. However, since form always follows function here at Rancho Reynolds, a pick up is mandatory.

  • Good move, Pat. I'm sure you'll love it. About as close as you can get to a TC.
  • Congratulations. I was looking at the Tiger but, for now at least, I still need the versatility of being able to use the truck sans camper. Be sure to post pics once you pick it up. Any idea when you can expect to take delivery?
  • The Tigers are really nice...

I notice they have them advertised with FORD truck chassis's.

How to you get the cab off the truck for engine servicing with the Tiger
motorhome section mounted over the cab??
  • That's one of the best things about a TC/truck - hit the 4x4 and where ever you got the nutz to get to, you can camp.
In my case, it's usually only snow and very mild off-road places that I leave the Class A's and C's behind. But I also have BFG All-Terrain tires that some of the people in my Jeep crew use on thier Jeeps. I also have a full-posi rear end that also helps with a little more traction in the slippery stuff.
