Legal he's probably fine.
Trailer axle is a triple tandem. Iirc 45-50000 lbs per bridge laws
Rear axle, 20000
Front assuming 245 width 9500
225 width just under 9000
both sizes have 16 ply options that get them close to those single axle amounts.

I don’t see how he could be overloaded on the front axle. On a GN trailer like that, does any of the load end up on the front axle?

The OEM tires are 225 19.5’s, but you sometimes see owners replace them with 245’s on the stock wheels.

As heavy as it is, I was assuming a pretty high moisture content in those bales of “grass”.

I’m not a farmer, but that seems awfully high for grass. But I’m guessing those bales get super compressed when rolled!

With just one strap on the load I betcha he's going from the field to the barn. The combo works fine for this type of work a few times a summer.
Looks like maybe 25 bales 3' X 4" X 8' which may weigh in the 1300 lbs range for around 32500 lbs of grass.
The F450 may weigh in the 10k range.
A GN trailer that size can weigh in the 10k range.

The triaxle dual tandem trailer may have 12k axles at 36000 GVWR. The hard part is guessing what percentage this trailer has for hitch loads all depending on axle placement on the trailer.
A 36000 GVWR trailer at 25 % = 9000 lbs well within 19.5" tires/wheels and axle assy....but short on F450 9100 RAWR spring pack ratings.

I am not ag familiar, nor am I familiar with a gooseneck trailer pin percentage. I suspect a minimum 25% hitch wt, and allowing 10K for truck, leaves 43K for trailer, with near 11K on the hitch ball. If truck axle is at 4K, that is around 15K on truck rear axle.

Makes the Ford look pretty stout/job ready. Maybe just can't see the line that reads "don't try this at home"!

I suppose they did not want to weigh/show rear axle wt.
