My '05 Ram 3500 had a recall for precisely this problem. Know what the 'fix' was? A warning sticker to set the parking brake and the vehicle computer was programmed to flash the transmission gear display and blow the freakin' horn.........Annoying as hell if you open the driver's door without shutting the truck off. And on occasion, the truck throws its 'fit' even with the transmission in Park and the parking brake mashed to the floor.
