I mentioned this issue months ago on here. Regan issued a special ruling because Ford vehicles were falling into reverse and killing people. They were required to send everyone a sticker to place on the sun visor or dashboard. I almost got crushed by our F150 1/2 to when hooking up a small equipment trailer.

One of the BIGGEST issues with automatic transmissions is people get complacent, or lazy and don't use the parking brake, the blame the automaker when in their rush to exit the vehicle they don't place it into Park completely.
We use to call them emergency brakes, as they could be used if the hydraulic system went out, as they were cable operated. Now days more and more they are hydraulically operated so that option is out the window.
