I started using my parking brake in high school when my '69 Comet GT backed out of it's spot and into the side of a Sarasota County Sheriff's cruiser. They called me out of math class. Never had a problem since. I hate to see people park on a steep inline, let the vehicle roll back onto the parking pawl in the transmission, then see them yank the shift lever to reverse or drive with a loud bang as the pawl releases the vehicle. DW was the worst offender. Now she "simply" sets the parking brake before putting it in Park.
