Do you care to share some info that makes this relevant to the current recall? Fire trucks in 1978 typically didn't have a 'park' position since they were nearly all manual transmissions, and even today's automatics in HD trucks don't have a 'park' position. I'm pretty sure it was that incident that led to a state law requiring use of wheel chocks on fire apparatus. Or was it a 2017 F250 that killed the trooper serving as a volunteer firefighter in 1978?
