The '70s called, they want their fan belt setup back

I had a serpentine changed on a Suburban one time. Then it was in the shop for something completely different about 10,000 miles later. When they gave my a "free" inspection, they said it was totally worn out and would break at any moment. I ignored them and sold it about 60,000 miles later with the same belt.

Yes, things need changing at times, but not always when a shop says they do. They were just after more of my money.
