I love it when a really big-scale, complex plan comes together. And it continues.
I consumed Bryan's piece with the voracity of a neophyte. What an amazing story.

  • I saw him at Kanopolis once, I wish I would have taken the time to stop and chat. It was after that trip that I saw his rig on here.
  • After talking to BKA it became apparent that the more time you spend in your TC the larger and more complete and comfortable it needs to become. I have been in a Tiger4x4. It feels a lot smaller than my already small Lance Lite. Almost no storage. A Tiger4x4 is a good rig, but not for any extended period. More like a weekend jaunt for people who don't want to be exposed outside to get to the camper part. It has taken me a while to digest all his choices and I now concur with most of them. Take for instance the side entry. If you have a trailer on full-time, a rear entry is a non-starter.

He's put together an elaborate rig. It seems that he keeps the TC attached all the time (he has the bikes to get around on), so I wonder if a Tiger 4x4 would not have been simpler and more convenient? The Knapheide body provides a ton of storage, true, but that trailer will hold a ton of stuff besides his two bikes.

Haven't read the story yet, but he has a rather large LP and I think water tank within the service body to facilitate full timing in remote locations. His rig, like himself is quite unique.

  • I read about that guy a while back. Interesting that he designed it himself, but I can't say I understand many of his choices. I guess that's why there is more than one option!
