Also, best half ton? Is that like being the skinniest kid at fat camp?

OMG now that's funny right there!!!!!!

I will say not everyone wants or needs a 2500 or 3500 truck. My little half ton tows my boat as well as my 2500 towed my 34' 10,000# TT. The only thing I wish is that they offered a long bed in the CC 1500.

So the winner is the same truck with different styling as the truck that came in 4th. Makes sense.

Knew this was coming. Half ton? Might as well buy a Prius, amiright eheh?

I read these kind of review for the data. I ignore who wins when it is based on opinion of the interior. I'll make my own choice on that, I just like to see the raw numbers to compare performance.

I'm surprised at how powerful the 6.2L V8 is in the GM trucks. That would be an excellent powerplant for the 2500HD. There is obviously a reason they have never put in in a HD truck, but that 6.2L & 10 speed would be a sweet combo in a 2500HD.

GM does not consider the 6.2 a heavy duty engine due its aluminum block. That was in a GM publication a few years ago that was on the fleet section of their website.

While I'm on the topic, the reviewers mentioned that Ram should put the 6.4L in the 1500 trucks as an option. I think that's a great idea. When the 7.0L (426) gasser is put in the 2500/3500, they could shift that 6.4L into the half tons!

I was also surprised by the fact that the 3.5L EB and the GM 6.2L are very comparable on the dyno.

    Interesting article.

  • Interesting to see how much different the Judge's scoring was than the "objective data".
  • LOL.....And the winner is?????????????????? The one whose manufacturer / factory marketing rep provided more perks to the 3 boneheads doing the judging LOL.

IMO both pickuptrucks.com and cars.com are nothing more than web rags.
