You may want to look in your owner's manual to see if your unit has a pump cleaning feature. My wife bought me the single cup Keurig 2 Christmases ago for the trailer. With the unit off, I push and hold the "Brew" button for 4 or 5 seconds. The pump comes on and pumps out any residual water. The units with a tank may not have this feature...IDK. Ours has survived 2 winters so far in the trailer.
