We had the same discussions/cussin' years before china made any tires for the USA market and all ST tires were made by our domestic tire makers and yes.....we had the same type reliability issues with them.
There are some very good P and LT and ST tires from China.....and some junkers.
The new gen ST tires like the Carlisle RH or the Provider with the higher speed rating so far are a big step in the right direction for improving the ST tires reliability record. Time and miles in service will tell the story.
Bottom line I wouldn't put all tires made in china on the same level. We can look around the net at all the different forums that use tires to play or work and see which tires work better than others.
