The bottom line issue with China production is; The prototypes are made to specs, the quality is acceptable, the proper raw materials are used. The contract is signed, production starts. Somewhere in the supply chain, someone substitutes an inferior component or raw material and pockets the difference in cost.... the inferior product does the China bomb thing... Remember the melamine powder in the milk to skew test results?, it kept resurfacing every couple years...
