As sprinkler man points out, the potential for injury when sitting at the side of the road, broken down, is high. Anything at all that I can do to helps my odds of not being at the side of the road, is worth considering. I not only have to think about my own safety, but I often have passengers with me when going to horse shows, to say nothing of the fact our Arabians and Thoroughbreds are expensive horses. I shudder to think of a car ramming into my horse trailer.
