Personally I don't think the bias is against China made tires. The bias is against pointing the finger at oneself for not properly caring for the tires or the load put on the tires. Since we are a "not my fault nation" it must be someone else's fault. I keep hearing about these guys on here that check their tire pressure every time they hook up to the trailer. I've been in a lot of campgrounds on Sunday morning and I have never seen anybody break out a tire gauge before heading home.
I helped a friend move a used trailer he just bought for $1,000 this weekend. Before I got involved he picked up the trailer and pulled it 2 hours home. 20 minutes from the house he blew out a tire on the front axle. It was a Marathon tire. The spare got him home. Fast forward to Saturday and we go to help him get it to his river lot 45 minutes from his house and set it up. He hooks up his F150 and the hitch goes to about 6 inches from the ground and the trailer rear bumper is about 4 feet off the ground. I explained to him the reason he blew out the tire. Excess weight on the front axle. I suggested he let the guy with the 2500 truck pull it to the site. A few minutes later he agreed. Ran level when hooked to the proper truck and no tires blew out.
