I think you are right to a point...
But I firmly believe there exists the shameful and unfortunate issue of racism and quite a bit of Jingoism, Fear of China and it's growing power in the world and the anger over perceived job losses due to the rise of Chinese manufacturing as reasons for many who find needless fault with products made in China.
I am pretty sure that many of those who decry Chinese manufactured tires:
A. Dont realize the Maxiss's they bought to replace the "China Bombs" that came on their trailer are made in China or Thailand and owned by a Chinese company.
B. Hate all products they dont like that they think are made in China.
