Let not forget that some people expect to stress their tires more than usual.
Those who continually drive over 70 mph, go off road over rugged terrain, or otherwise subject their TTs to extreme conditions, may be willing to trade the stiffer side walls and other ST features for the multitude of tread patterns and more robust nature of the LT.
One only has to watch the various custom RV shows to see these TTs intended for harsh environment service are fitted with LTs, flipped axles, shocks, reinforces frames and etc.
Back in the real world most of us mortals get along quite well with the OEM tires. Many never giving it a second thought.
