Yes they were made in Thailand by ChengShin Tire whch is the 4th largest tire maker in China. they are made in Thailand because the labor rates are cheaper.

This shows how easy it is to get this issue mixed up. CHENGshin in the PRC (Peoples Republic of China) IS a Chinese company...any company doing business in China has to be more than 50% Chinese ownership and incorporated within China under Chinese law.
Thus it is a Chinese company.
And since when was Taiwan NOT Chinese? That would come as a terrible revelation to them.
And having been to many factories in both Taiwan and the PRC I can say with certainty that Taiwan is certainly no farther ahead and in some ways well behind the PRC in Technology and plant operation.
They are certainly equals in some ways but in others definitely not.
