Those of you who ordered a new Ram, are you obligated to take it even if it comes in and you discover it only makes 12 mpg? Or is your order subject to being satisfied with every aspect of the truck. I am fully expecting it to be an improvement over the '12s so I would be extremely disappointed to find it's worse and then be stuck with the deal.
Well how would you know it only get's 12 mpg until you drive it?? When you purchased your Ford, how long did you give it to see what kind of mpg it would get, just off the lot and on the drive home??...in the first 50 miles?? 1,000 miles, You're going to have to drive it to some extent, so at what point would you "give it back" if you're not satisfied, especially after all the paperwork has been signed and you drive it off the lot as a new owner??
I figure there will be quite a bit of improvement with the 2013 over a 12, but the 2010 I owned for 2.5 years was a great truck that never failed me and was a towing animal..the 12 is better than the 10', so to me, the 12 with the Longhorn trim, an extra 150ftlb of TQ, 100# more GVWR than I had with the '10 and 3,000# more GCWR along with better cooling capabilities is more than enough truck and I can only imagine how much better the 13' will be with how much improvement the 12 model had over the 10 model.
I know that if you order a truck, at least in my case and it comes in and your not satisfied with the paint job, or some aspect of the truck, you're not held to purchase it, BUT, if you order one, go through all the paperwork, sign it and drive off the lot, what are you going to do...in a month or two bring it back and tell them you don't want it because it doesn't get better than 12 mpg...would Ford have let you done that without question?
