Was the Ford a 2013 with DEF? If so, then .6 mpg difference to me isn't a deal breaker..the 2012 Ram they tested didn't have DEF and only .6 mpg difference when towing??? Then I would expect the 2013 to get a little better mpg, but how much????? Where in the world did the # 12 come from ???? I get that much easily with my dually now, don't know about towing yet, but will come Thursday...first time towing with the 12'
It was a 2011 Ford F350 DRW 6.7L diesel with DEF.
Sorry, searching for the link and reading it again, I just realized it was the 2012 GMC 3500 DRW they tested that got 9.1 mpg, the Ford got 9.5 mpg in the tests.

They do so many test with these trucks, the last one I read about was with three dually's, the 2013' F350, the 2013 Chevy 3500 and the 2012 Ram 3500....the Chevy came in 1st. over all with Ford 2nd. and Ram bringing up the rear:)...That one was towing and driving with no load and was done in late December or very early January....didn't see anything about mpg....
The link I posted was for the HD Hurt Locker test. That mpg was all towing, over mountains, with a 19,400# trailer.
