LOL
Sounds like some of the BS posted on this site. Lets see I read it on a Dodge Forum :B
There is absolutely no reason for a frame change other than length. Who in the world came up with the 3500 vs 5500 strength is well, not a engineer or bean counter.
There is absolutely no way they use different frames as that would change the entire process of producing trucks of basically the same design.
I'll need more information than a Cummins forum Big foot and will gladly retract if needed.
My money is on the longer frame specs. Even the QC has 9" longer frame than the MC. Maybe somebody spelled Cummings wrong :B
The 2500 and 3500 do not share much in 2013. The frames are different, the front suspension on the 3500 is a three link while the 2500 still uses the old design 5 link. The rear on the 2500 is 11.5 inch while the 3500 has 11.8 inch. Put simply the 2500 is the same frame as last year while the 3500 is all new components.
If proof of this is desired just read any review of the 2013 ram hd done by many of the truck mags.
Thanks I stand corrected. Guess some folks can't use the old excuse of the 2500 being the same as the 3500 except for a extra spring :B
Yeah I looked at the chart better and saw the 3500 weights about 450 more pounds.
