They look pretty tight to me from the photos. I've rented a few of cars at the airport that had the "cap-less" type fillers which seemed to work fine :R
DEF running down your paint job don't sound to good. Maybe that dreaded awful GM design is better :W
BTW.... Having to open the hood to fill the DEF tank is not my idea of a better design, but for some it's probably a good thing.
Maybe they should have put the windshield washer fluid in behind the fuel fill door too, I have to fill that way more often than the def tank...
15K on my truck now and have only filled the def tank once!
