I did remember reading this on the Allpar.com site
The frame-mounted fuel filter/water separator has 3-micron particulate filtration and water stripping to increase engine performance and durability. The unique venting system prevents dirt and water from entering the tank; a warning light illuminates on the truck's instrument cluster when the high-capacity sump requires draining.
Have you looked for the new fuel filters installed on the frame Jim?
Those capless fillers are pretty strange. I remember the first time I saw one before returning the rental, WTF was my initial thought. I do remember when I was a kid working at the Shell station, we had a big old box full of forgotten gas caps. And finding the fuel location on a 56 Chevy was sure fun the first time :B
I'll check it out...get a pic of it and try to post:)
Something like this?
The lower fuel filter looks very similair to the new Super Duty filters except for the clear bottom that I really like. It would have been good to have some metal shield around that filter though. Does these trucks has a second fuel filter under the hood?
Also these new RAMS have two radiaters. What does the second radiater supply coolant to and where is the second water pump?
