Yeah it looks just like the Ford 6.7 filter, but I haven't seen one in person on the Ram since I must live far away from the Mexico plant :W Hopefully soon though.
I have also read on FTE about some cracking the bowl when throwing up stones on gravel roads or off road :E I guess a shield of some kind would be another improvement in design. Maybe a 50 cent bean counter correction.
Rad question is good but I suspect it's more of a redundancy system, or lack of frontal section like the Ford has. That big front "jaws looking" ( Gold Finger Movie) just ain't there on the European models :R

HERE is the main fuel filter under the hood :E Ouch as in price. About $30 more that a 5.9 Cummins.
