Im with you. I weighed every single item we put into our current TT and it was only 284 lbs of stuff. Thats with water tank empty of course. To be fair though we are weekend warriors at local state parks and such. we dont take a whole lot.
You would be surprised how quickly things add up. I personally can’t see how anyone can put only 300lbs of stuff in even for a weekend. I’m talking cooking, eating utensils, clothes, bedding, chairs, grille, charcoal. I mean unless your sleeping on a plain mattress with no pillows and eating a raw hotdog sitting on the ground around a cold fire Pitt, there is no way anyone only packs 300lbs of stuff.
Heck, even my 28 ft trailer I had 1500lbs over the dry weight.
