Formula is just shove the biggest engine that fits, and bolt on the best suspension components, on either a paid off platform, or one that's cost-shared. It takes very little to float SRT, but $$$ profit.
Sounds like a good plan to me.
I just spent a week in a new Bimmer 530i. I can say the "old" chassis that is under the 06 SRT we had and the 2016 SRT gives up NOTHING to the new bimmer for handling, NVH and solid chassis feel.
Sometimes the wheel doesn't need re-invented if you still have a great wheel...
Yeah I like stuffing a big engine in a car. Sounds like my philosophy. Not sure if the guys across the pond agree.
