Hope you're right, I guess 2022 models will tell that story. If there's no more blown Hemis and 500-700HP SUVs in the car lots, then that will be obvious.
Makes no sense to kill the name. In the name of branding, SRT is arguably up there with other big factory or factory backed performance branding, like Yenko, COPO, GT, Cobra, Shelby, SS, etc.
Heck other mfgs are dragging up some of these brands from the dead, for multiple generations and Stellantis is killing a legit one??

Sounds like a good plan to me.
I just spent a week in a new Bimmer 530i. I can say the "old" chassis that is under the 06 SRT we had and the 2016 SRT gives up NOTHING to the new bimmer for handling, NVH and solid chassis feel.

- mileshuffExplorerMy only experience with an SRT was my 2008 Caliber SRT4. It had all kinds of power, fast car. However, it was a $20,000 engine in a $21,000 car. In other words, the engine was incredible but the rest of the car was a POS.
