I took the tire to Discount in Cottonwood. The problem was a separation (see pics). Now the second part of the story. I take my paperwork to the front desk to show them the road hazar...

That is what WAS installed in the tire that I had changed to a bolt in before I left on my trip. The image is what was leaking from the rubber gromet at the rim.
So now you have read of one failing.
