I built our TT just the way we wanted it and for a purpose that we use it for. I had a commit posted on you tube about how I should have built it. I don't understand How somebody can criticize the person that has a enough experience to build this and not think it had been thought out. Any way it reminds me how many people will tell the welder how to weld when hes the guy with the welder.Any way heres the commit as posted Really"good job i guess. well put together but why go through all that to make a cookie cutter bs travel trailer you can buy. disappointing it was not more unique. like more homey materials .? and built more self sustainable, rain catch ,solar, compost toilet ect. the way it was built limits it to lame ass rv parks for power and sewage. once again well built but the world need to be away with anything cookie cutter".

His opinion is only worth as much as you paid for it. You built what you wanted. If he wants something else, let him do it. Just took a look at your video and FWIW - no charge for this opinion - I like it! Of course, you'll probably miss the opportunity to tighten a dozen or so screws missed at the mfg or tweak other things, but that's the breaks. Nice job, excellent price, pride of doing a good job, lots of great camping trips coming up. I wouldn't invite this person to join in the fun....he needs to be busy building his own camper.

Just delete his ignorant comment. There are always more people who are good at criticizing than good at actually doing something. ;)

I remember my parents telling of being in their rig and the conversation would come about to locations. While quietly telling of their actual experience, invariably the camp boor would interrupt the story to tell his "wish to go there" or how he had "a friend that went there".Be proud of your accomplishment, and just reply "When you build yours, please call me so I can check out how yours goes together to get ideas for my next one."

I think one can "disable comments" on youtube videos-I suggest you do that. It takes a mighty thick skin to put up with some of the jerks that just post snarky stuff for their own pleasure!

Well I didnt see your video, and I would say he can keep his two cents he might neeed them when he does his own. What you built is for you! not me not the next poster or any to follow but for you. As long as you and the family are happy that is all that matters. I am sure once you use it a few zillion times you might think of something to add or remove to the next one. Tell his hippy rear to go build one himself with all that "go green" stuff in it.

Yeah, it's the Internet, whether this forum, YouTube, or whatever. Got to expect the offhand comment.

I will say this, you could teach all those "Amish Craftsmen" in Elkhart a thing or two about workmanship!

I wouldn't attempt what you did; I'm not even up to wood butcher status with carpentry.

I posted a thread of a mod I'd done, some very active member here told me it looked good but he woulda done ... (whatever).
I told him he didn't get what I'd done, told him his idea was impractical and he came back calling my job a hack job, real nice.

Whatever, do your own thing, post it here or on you tube or whatever but don't worry too much if some moron doesn't think whatever you did is up to his standards, if you're going to let jokers like them bother you're better off just keeping it to yourself (IMO).

BTW, nice job, I'm sure 90% of the people on here have ideas for what THEY'D like to see in a trailer and how they'd do it, difference is you had the balls to tackle it yourself, well done. ;)

Nice job on the trailer .....Maybe the guy who posted a negitive responce works in the RV industry and he feels threatend because because of the junk he builds and sells if for a lot more.

The only part of the video I didn't like was the music. But not everyone likes my music either ;)

Thanks all, the year I built it I was lucky with it being hot and no rain as most of the fab. was out side.I started @ sun up and worked until dark or I couldn't stand.The lawn chair was important as the sun moved I need some shade and a place to rest.I still use the same lawn chair I hope it will last as long as my projects last.

Thanks for sharing! Would I have done somethings a little differently. Yes, because I am me. You built it your way because you are you. (Deep words here). Meanwhile, as I watched the video I admired the craftsmanship,knowledge, and experience to have pulled this off. Great job! I was beginning the think that the lawn chair was going to be a part of the decor.

Bingo. Some folks will ohh and ahh....some will honestly offer constructive criticism and good ideas based on the fact that you may not have thought of everything. Others are just nuts.
Kind of like... well, this site...

This is not a common cookie cutter TT. Sure, it may look like any other camper, but from the looks of it, was built correctly and soundly. Much better than most assembly built models. Enjoy it and ignore the jealous nut jobs.
