We didn't run into any snags. It took a little bit to get used to driving the truck with this much weight in it. The springs squeaked at first having never been loaded this much before. They soon quieted down though.
Our MPGs took a nose dive on the way back. We averaged 18 mpg on the way up running empty at 75 miles per hour. One the way back we ran at 65 miles per hour the entire way and averaged 10.2 mpg. We were headed into a pretty strong head wind most of the way back however. On one portion of the trip we traveled a number of miles with the wind at our side and we averaged around 13 to 14 mpg on that stretch. So without the wind it isn't too bad.
