- Mark_and_LindaExplorerSitting the reading the remarks...I think all of them for me. We pulled into a gas station one time...I was behind a car at the front pump. I refueled my truck and waited for them to move so I could drive out. My wife was inside getting us some sandwiches....I had to back up, pull over to the side, we ate our sandwiches and the car still had not moved. I like the dump station reply, always there with someone who tells me this is their first time....I say, watch me, nothing too it. Always strike up a good conversation. Blew a truck tire one time...hit Atlanta at 5 PM on a Sunday evening...truck traffic galore..good thing when had something strong to drink when we got to the campground. I had to pry my hands loose from the steering wheel....

The part I liked least is packing for a trip. :( Yeah, yeah - I keep the camper here at the house during the season, plugged in, and yeah it's generally "packed" except for food but I always nonetheless seem to make countless trips back & forth before it's totally ready to go. And no, with electric rates we pay which are about the highest in N America I don't run the fridge throughout the season, just when we're going camping. I guess it is what it is. :R
Yes! Agree 1000%. Always seems to be a big PITA no matter how much you plan ahead and always forget something anyway. It’s exhausting...:) - 1stgenfarmboyExplorerI run secondary roads all the time and see some cool stuff while doing it, I despise interstates.
No way will I tow through Nashville, Knoxville or Atlanta, If you do during heavy traffic expect 2 or 3 panic stops per town.
the last day is what I hate. - DutchmenSportExplorer

Seems to me that dumping the Black Tank should be high (or low) on everyone's `least like to do' list.
Actually, that doesn't bother me one bit! I strike up more conversations with fellow campers waiting in line at dump stations than anywhere else. - Dick_BExplorerSeems to me that dumping the Black Tank should be high (or low) on everyone's `least like to do' list.
- hilandfrogExplorerI fully agree... A buddy bought an 35' RV we towed a toyota 4X4 ( king cab type) behind it, 35 day ski trip was epic, driving through Vancouver and somehow missing staying on the freeway ended up downtown... holly **** that was NO fun, busy Friday night people doing friday night stuffs all over and us in this huge (to us) thing on skinny city streets...
Once we extricated ourselves from downtown we ended up on a skinny bridge literally had sparks from the wheels and a tall metal curb dio to construction and jersey walls...
-Repo - susan-yExplorerStrong crosswinds.
- RVhikerExplorerCampgrounds with crappy maintenance or design.
Hose bibs that spurt water past the stem. Electrical outlets wired wrong. Electrical outlets that can't provide 30 amps at 110 volts. Pad paving that is caving away on the side. Trees that must be trimmed before my fiver has clearance. Utility protection pipes put in the wrong place or that are are too tall and prevent a slide being put out. Ridiculous turns and narrow roads to get to a site complicated by vegetation that needs trimming. So-called pull throughs with a curve so sharp that I have to back in instead of pulling through. One way campground roads that have back up sites along them, but the backup sites are angled the wrong way.
And all that was just my last stop... Not really. But all of the above is too common. - LVJJJExplorerToss up between barking dogs and generators.
(I like two lane back roads (blue highways), more relaxing, see the countryside you miss on the interstates) - GrandpaKipExplorer IIPeople that leave their yappy little dogs in the motorhome (always seems to be one). Especially the ones that get on the dash and bark at anything that moves.
