Might check out a 2014 3500 Ram with air ride rear. I believe it has higher ratings with a softer ride. Of course the "Long Hauler" is just around the corner :W
As reformed Blue Kool-aid drinker, I will never go back to the Blue Oval, my 12 year old Ram is still a fine truck, and with only 262,000 mile should be good for a while.
