well I know this is something that all small TT owners look for and now I am the owner of a new to me 2008 21sso starcraft travelstar HTT. I have been planning some upgrades and the wife said while I am tinkering with stuff i should look into more storage. Soooooooo I took the panel off the bottom of the jack knife sofa but that is where the motor is for the slide. :( no safe storage there .... so my question is. Does anyone know what is under the dinette portion of the slide? Can I squeeze any storage out there? I will probably find a way to see whats under there this weekend but figured I would ask first in case someone already ventured down this road.

We had a small area in our ROO 23SS in the cabinet where the water pump/filter were housed....not much, but you could store some tools, etc. Also had some space above our FW tank. I got a small Rubbermaid type container and stashed some odds and ends in there on top of the tank. One HTT owner took the luan panels out of the bathroom vanity and a couple of other places and gained some space. Use caution that you don't block the air return to your furnace....the space looks good, but probably shouldn't use it. Good luck.

We have a Shamrock 21ss which I believe is the same floorplan as your 21sso. If so there is quite a bit of dead space below the rear bunk behind the bathroom wall. Ours has a divider accessible via the storage space below the back bunk that can be removed to get at it. We also put handles/latches on a couple of cabinet doors covering the furnace and hot water tank that were screwed shut. There was some usable space in there as well.

My 21rbh Starcraft has loads of storage. Front mini doors, under front bench and under rear perpendicular bunk. Vertical wards and storage under the side tent. No issues in a 21 foot box!

I am also new to site and to HTT,we just bought a 2005 Jayfeather.The jacknife was bad so the dealer replaced it with a hide-a-bed that we wont use, my question is can the bed part be removed and make under the couch storage? Has anyone ever done this for more storage,any help would be very appreciated.

Calwb .... In my old trailer I had a sofa with a queen pull out that was never used. I pulled the bed out to get the added storage and it worked great. I had to put some supports in as the frame got flimsy without the bed in there. Also put a plywood top on pistons for the open and closure. Its a little bit of work but if your handy the added storage is awesome to have.

My trailer does not have a slide and the dealer did not have a Jack knife bed that would fit.He replaced it with a hide a bed that we can't open out.Can I remove the bed part to have storage under the couch.

We have a 2006 sso that we put a hinge on the board that covers the space under the couch. We store sheets and towels and a few other flat items easy to get to . The space under the table is taken up iwith the fender well.
