that this thread indicative of how long folks think a vehicle is good for...
A new meaning to a 'throw-away society', IMHO
Bought a 1998 Mazada B2500 (Ford Ranger) 'half ton' from credit union lease return
in 2000. Has 28,000 miles. Gave it to eldest daughter around 2003 and it now has
+250,000 miles.
The only thing I did was new tires and battery. Switched to synthetic, NAPA gold
filter. Synthetic in the 5 speed manual. Flushed the coolant (American Green)
She has put a new set of tires, recharged the AC and flushed the radiator.
SIL hauls garden stuff (trees, gravel, dirt, etc) working on their home in S Ca
and is his commuter (works for Disney and round trip is about 40 miles)
They used to ride sport bikes (Ninja and Monster) and towed with a 18 foot
U-Haul.
Also tows a ~3K lb PUP
