The important question is percent of vehicles sold that are still on the road with over 200,000 miles. Article doesn't answer that. Ford and Chevy sell far more trucks than Dodge.
Dodge sells more diesels than gas trucks. Ford sells more gas trucks than diesel. They study includes both.
Take the big 3 diesel HD trucks over the same time period. What percent of each are still on the road over 200K? I tend to think they'll be about the same with a high percent for all of them. Rare for a diesel truck to be anywhere near worn out with less than 200K.
