My experience after a number of years travelling and staying at many different type of campgrounds, is the the globe type light strings seem to be very good for lighting. I have tried a number of different things and types of lighting, with various results. The globe light strings seem to be easy to hang from an awning, and put out a good bit of light without being too much. Also easy to store, and seen to hold up well.
