I'm with you but I see highly optioned 1/2 ton on dealer lots that cost more than my 2500 D/A LT. Seems like all the 1/2 ton gassers have models that are crowding prices that were not too longer ago reserved for diesels.

  • Many trucks these days are not used like they were 20+ years ago. Many people use them like they are cars and therefore want their luxury items included. Can't blame the manufacturers for delivering what customers of "today" are asking for.

I am happy that they are offering it for the people that want one but have never understood why people want a fancy truck. I have a tradesmen and it is comfortable enough. I am not knocking anyone I am just asking what is the benefit of having a Cadillac truck? To me a truck is made to work out of and tow not ride around and look classy

My tradesman is perfect for what I need it for as well. I love the vinyl floors, no need to worry about mud when camping and at the lake, etc. BUT I would love to have a fully optioned out HD diesel truck (with carpet delete, love vinyl floors). Leather is really durable and cleans up easy. All of the electronics are nice to have, built in GPS, DVD, etc. It would make those long trips much nicer on the family!

As it is my kids have their iphones, ipads, portable DVD players, etc and I have a Garmin GPS...but my next truck will have as many high tech options as I can get. Then again I don't work out of it, I use it for towing and family outings...if it were purely a work truck I would have none of that. All I'd need are ac, am/fm, vinyl seats/floor and power windows/locks.

  • Curious if those new tow mirrors will fit on previous generation (07-14) HD trucks.
