We've been leaving our dogs in our campers for the last 16 years with no issues at all. Even if the A/C goes out it will take some time for the TT to heat up inside. It's not like a car with all that glass. Try it sometimes and see how long it takes for things to heat up. I think you might be surprised.
Now, if you're going to leave them for many hours you might have a problem. I don't think we've ever left ours for more than 6-7 hours at a time. Any longer than that and the TT will begin to smell like urine anyway.
