Depends what you mean by 'last longer'...
If 10 years...maybe 12 years...the a *TRUCK* has the design margins
to do that easily if maintained...but...you said 'tuner' or 'chip'
and that will shorten anything mechanical's life
Of course more power and the why of tuner/chip/etc, but increased MPG
is elusive to everyone I've come across with a chipped/tuner setup
The key two things are maintenance (quality of service and materials)
and not over load it. Toss in a 3rd on how you drive it

I Have a 2002 Ford F-250 5.4L with only 73,000 miles on it! Other than just regular maintenance what else can I do to it to make last longer! It runs great now just want to maintain it! Main thing I'm concerned about is the transmission! I do more of the traveling in summer than any other time! If anyone has put in a chip for a truck like this I would also like to know if it helped with fuel or power! Thanks
