Yep, we worked hard to stay away from decrepit ghettoes only to find ourselves in sometimes worst situation.
Park owners cannot afford to let them go (permanent residents) because they are their bread and butter.
Because of their "seniority status" they are quick to give you a lecture if you do something other than they expect (no genny exhaust blowing their way, bright lights etc.)
In my desire to be able to go places, I just try to mix in. If you feel that it becomes unbearable for you and family members you can always move on.
It's is really ironic to think that... here you are spending thousands of dollars for a shiny rig with all the amenities that are far better than you find at home, to subject yourself and family members in such depressing environment.
Of course you can find places that are like Club Meds but they are far in between.
