2009 Keystone
It's at Demontrand RV in Conroe. Owner says I can have it for $7200. Nothing needs replacing except the curtain in front of the back bed. No rust, no soft spots in floor, walls, and ceiling. I stomped, pushed, knocked, opened every cabinet, took out the drawers and looked underneath them, etc.
Thoughts?
We had that same floorplan but in a
Jayco Jay Flight 19BH. Actually I still do but with the addition of a front queen bedroom now.
Ours brand new in 2008 was about $11,000 with a 2 year warranty. As long as theirs nothing wrong at all with it and it's in very good condition, it maybe worth it. Not big on the fold up bunk as it will have limited capacity around 150 lbs. My permanent has a 300 lbs capacity to fit a teenager.
I'd try to get it around $6000 to $6500. If you are financing, the interest rate maybe higher on that old of a trailer. The new interest rate being lower may make it a poor value next to a new trailer.
The downsides of the bottm doublesize bed are that it has no shelf/night stand for items and can be claustrophobic for the inside sleeper. I didn't have problems but my claustrophobia isn't that bad.
The size is great and makes this camper compatible with almost all campsites as would be a 12' box pop up camper (23' opened).
We do love this floorplan for the sofa placement not being beside the dinette. Makes it less crowded and separates the spaces a bit.
BTW does it have in floor heat ducting and in ceiling A/C ducting or just a standard A/C. Our 2008 Jay Flight 19BH had a standard A/C but in 2009 Jayco upgraded to in ceiling ducting with an auto thermostat. Our new 2012 Jayco Jay Flight 26BH is very luxury with not much more that I could think of. We got that for a bit over $14000.
Good luck on your deal.
