I just purchased a 2013 EC 1160 from a dealership near you as a matter of fact(Apache Camping Ctr in Tacoma). We had a minor issue that needed to be repaired before we left the area to head East(home). Other then that we have love our new camper. Cannot believe to room in this thing and how comfortable it is. We too don't have the electric/gas hot water heater...was kind of shocked that it didn't come with it. We have the Happijacks as well. Time will tell on their reliability. We looked at a lot of TC's before we pulled the trigger and we were impressed with the quality that EC produced. I think no matter what brand you look at your going to issues with anything. If your looking for a model with a couch in it, I think you'll be very happy with the 1160.
