- nevadanickExplorerOversize loads are pretty common here. A couple times this year i was on highway 50 and had to park on the shoulder as NHP was escorting oversize loads. But your partly right about the shipping and the other part is they just cant get bigger tires. 100 yard buckets and 400 ton trucks are becoming normal it seems anymore.

Problem is shipping :W They barely fit overload size as it is without having to have special permits. I see em headed to Alberta a few times on our 2 lane highway :E Trains are out of the question :B - nevadanickExplorerI sell wear steel for this equipment and my wife worked part time for P&H. - trailerbikecampExplorerWhen I worked in northern Alberta, this the truck that was used in the mine. Even after 15yrs around them I never got over the sheer size of the equipment.
Even bigger
And this the shovel used to load them. This what I worked on when I was up there. In the front of the video you can see the extension cord. It is about the size of a man's lower leg. I figure it should be good for those of you who need a 50A connection.
Shovel - Yes that RED TRUCK sure is a beauty :B
- Perrysburg_DodgExplorerMan Tory you need to get laid or something!
- nevadanickExplorer789 is not a big truck.
- BubbaChrisExplorerA month ago I got to see some of these in action. Watching the drivers back up next to the shovel was amazing. They'd alternate sides so as soon as one truck was loaded the shovel would start on the next.
The review doesn't mention how well the air inside is filtered (very well, thank you). The mine I visited has their drivers do 12-hour shifts as they are doing 24-hour days to get the money's worth out of the equipment. - hone_eagleExplorerI remember a lady driver of one said "its like driving my house"
