Would using gravity help ? I just had a thought and had to ask .
If the camper was parked with the drivers side higher than the passenger side would gravity prevent the water from flowing in ?
If the answer is yes, could that bottom horizontal part of the door frame be cut or bent outward ? The "horizontal bottom lip" where the arrows point in picture #2 , would be pitched outward and water would not run uphill into the compartment and entering the open lip area. It would just need to be enough so the door could be compressed closed.
